Christmas Boxing day

History made us aware that today is the day gift boxes are given to people who earn less in the society. This could be servants, tradespeople or those considered as poor. Some said it is a time when churches collect money for their less privileged members.

This is a good way of making impact in the society. I have come across people organising cookouts for today. This is highly commendable. All these consolidates the fact that Christmas is a period of giving regardless.

As a child, I looked forward to the church bazaar on this day which is accompanied by Grandma buying us rice from her women organisation. We would go from one canopy to the other. She get to show off her grandkids too.

Oh! This is accompanied by meeting different uncles, aunties and friends to celebrate Christmas by means of giving cash. We would literally say “gbara m Christmas”. This means celebrate Christmas for me by giving me something. It was fun as we turn out to get richer by the end of that day.

Anyways, one of the things I enjoy the most about Christmas is the Christmas carols. I love the songs as they bring so much memories.

More like these songs take you home to Nazareth🏡

How is your Boxing day going? I wanna reread from you.

May all you want this Christmas ⛄ come through ❤️

The Beauty of the Season of Lent

Lent is a time to reflect more, fast and pray more. You commit all that bothers you and the remainder of the year to God.

Hope you have been well and good?

How has the past weeks been for you?

It’s the last week in lent and I want to remind you of the beauty of this season.

As it gradually comes to an end, it is important that we reflect, pray and mend our ways with God.

May we trust God with all that bothers us.

This is the time to strengthen our relationship with Him.

Try fasting. It works wonders.

Fast and pray. Cry into God if you have to.

Pray like you depend on Him.

It is a good time of the year too as you can be rest assured the remainder of the year has been taken care of spiritually.

If you struggle with time for church or lone time? Then use YouTube.

You can watch and participate in the stations of the cross.

The a decade of the rosary don’t last more than 15minutes.

It is a common practice to fast and pray mainly on Wednesdays and Fridays during Lent, are you doing that?

Are you joining your brethren in this communal and powerful practice?

I recalled when I almost has ulcer, I refrained from going to anyone to avoid them giving me unwanted diagnosis☺️

You can watch on TV too.

What’s your excuse now?

For for all that concerns you.

Pray for your family.

Pray for all that you care about.

Pray for all you want to achieve.

Ask and the universe listens.

May the God who knows all and sees all grant all your heart desires 🙏🏽

Have a blessed holy week

Easter Triduum starts tomorrow.

God is Love ❤️

Love yourself.

Look out for your soul.

May this coming Easter celebration meet you at the point of your needs.

God is Love

When life challenges happen, be consoled. Have some faith knowing that love conquers all.

I love yesterday’s reading.

All of it.

The popular verses we hear often were read in churches.

Isn’t it amazing to know that God already knew all of us before we began to exist?

He knew what we currently are and all we are yet to become.

We are prophets! This isn’t the first time the scripture refers to us as prophets.

By baptism, we are made prophets.

So, look deep down and ask yourself if you are in anyway serving this purpose?

Before I digress, the other popular verse was center bout love. This verse was used mostly on valentine’s day or birthday Cards.

“Love is patient, love is kind.
It is not jealous, it is not pompous,
It is not inflated, it is not rude,
it does not seek its own interests,
it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury,
it does not rejoice over wrongdoing
but rejoices with the truth.

It bears all things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails.”

They sound so familiar right?
Who doesn’t love love?

In marriages, patience will be tested over and over again.

You will have to become resilient. You will be offended countless times.

Yet, you need to trust your spouse.

Then, we are reminded that Love never fails.

This same love rekindles trust.

It is important that we know that we have religion for consolation.

When life throws it’s pains and sorrows, we need some consolation.

Religion is there to see us through it all.

For relationships and marriages experiencing difficult times, may your love for another never end.

May our faith bring us comfort and consolation despite challenges.

God is Love.

Happy New Year 2022

May you exceed your expectations in 2022

I am wishing you and you family a happy and wonderful new year. May this year be the year of breakthroughs for you.

I am excited to know what this year 2022 has in store for everyone. I hope it brings lots of opportunities for us to excel in our chosen career paths and businesses.

May God’s abundance grace manifest in our personal lives and in our families.

We are glad to have made it so far. Not all that have wanted to be here today are here now.

What are your new year plans or goals?

You need to know what you want, plan them, envisage them before you can see them manifest.

So, go ahead and make some plans.

Create that vision board, if you have to.

Aim big.

Dream big.

Then, watch the year unfolds for you.

I will like you to read this post I have written specifically for new year’s Day.

Is Christmas celebration personal?

It is a beautiful time and we all need to celebrate regardless.

A chat with someone made me realise that some people can see Christmas differently.

Whatever the situation is…

Endeavour to find a reason to be happy this season.

It is about remembering and celebrating Christ’s birth.

Do not take it personal.

Celebrate regardless of your circumstances.

This will soon pass.

Does not celebrating solve all your problems?

Why not enjoy while the universe does?

You know …

There is always problems.

This isn’t the time to dwell on them.

Just let them be and enjoy.

Make merry now and get back to your reality later.

If you are a Christian, you have no excuse.

…except, someone needs to explain to you this aspect of Christianity.

Were you in Church today?

Or

Are you getting better deals today?

How prepared are you for Advent?

Do get spiritually prepared for Christmas too, just like you would while planning for clothes and gifts.

I thought I should share this excepts with you.

As we prepare for Christmas, read this:

“Beware that your hearts do not become drowsy from carousing and drunkenness and the anxieties of daily life, and that day catch you by surprise like a trap.

For that day will assault everyone who lives on the face of the earth. Be vigilant at all times and pray that you have the strength to escape the tribulations that are imminent and to stand before the Son of Man.”

I love those lines of the scripture.

Are you vigilant and prepared for the lord’s coming?

Just like you shop for clothes, gifts, food stuffs, and eager to visit people, are you making some spiritual preparation for Christmas?

Do not be caught off guard.

.
.

When you feel overwhelmed,

Pause.

Then, think about the bigger picture.
.

Do not feel trapped when you struggle or have doubts.

Pause.

Thank God for the gift of Life.

In all these, be grateful knowing it can open further doors.
.
.

Dear God, may we hear your voice.
Open our hearts.
May we be attentive to You🙏🏽

Have a wonderful Advent season 李

Remembrance Sunday 2021

we remember all they have done for our country and us.

Hope you were in church today?

The scripture reminds us today that all things will pass away except God’s words.

It is important that we are not overly attached to material things as all will pass away.

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.” Mark 13:31.

Truth is, there will be temporary satisfactions.

What happens after that?
.
.
It was remembrance Sunday today.

We prayed for all the past heros.

For all those who lost their lives during the world war.

We pray for all those who have lost their lives globally while rendering selfless service to their country.

I will like to remind us to use this month of November to pray endlessly for our past loved ones.

Are you praying enough for them?

If praying for them reduces their suffering, how would you rate yourself?

Are their many people praying for them or just a few of you?

Pray for them like it is down to your prayers alone 🙏🏽

May all departed souls and the souls of departed Legionaries through the mercy of God rest in peace and rise again in glory.

Amen.

There is time for everything under the earth 🌎

Dear God, grant that we make good use of our time on earth 🙏🏽

Live a good life

May your conscience never slumber.
