Key Things To Do To Ascertain A Productive Year

Nothing that good happens by chance all the time. Have plans and make the most of your year. Try the things mentioned and be proud of yourself.

We are already in the second month of the year. Isn’t it amazing how a month some days are already gone?

Some of us are yet to figure out what to do or to expect this year. So, how has the year been so far for you?

Most times, some people will be quick to say “I do I don’t do new year resolutions.” That’s ok if you feel like saying so.

However, does that mean you do not have any expectation(s) for the year? Are there no targets you want to hit in an entire year?

I believe one can achieve a lot only when they have painstakingly thought about them and then work towards them. Not everything is to be left to chance.

There are things I will recommend you do for a  productive year. This isn’t in any way an exhaustive list and is in no particular order.

1. Read books:

There is no limit to the amount of knowledge you can gain. Gaining more knowledge is an empowering tool. You want to be versed in the field you are in. Be intentional about the books you read too. Ensure you have inspirational books and success books handy.

Read biographies of successful people you admire or those you consider as your role models. Feed your brain with the kind of knowledge it deserves.

2. Learn a skill:

This can be a digital skill preferably. There are a lot to learn. You need to take up something new. Challenge yourself.
If you have been doing something on a low key, up your game now. Take up both free and paid courses. Look up courses that aligns with that the things you are currently doing and those you want to explore.

3. Have multiple sources of income:

Do not be dependent on one job only for your earnings. Little income from here and there can help offset some bills. Explore many ideas and opportunities that present themselves. If you are online most times, do try affiliate marketing. You get to learn in the process too and possibly build your own brand afterwards if you wish. Explore remote job sites like Fiverr, Upwork and Appen.

4. Cryptocurrency:

Do some reading and begin buying some coins. The world is evolving and so should you to. Take up courses especially if you are interested in trading. You can start with exploring exchanges such as Binance, kucoin, and coinbase. Otherwise, you can buy some coins with prospects and hold onto them (hodl). If you have the money go for all time highs like Bitcoin, Ethereum etc. They can be bought in fractions too. Do not trade with urgent money like rent or school fees. Trading can be risky. Please, do your own research.

5. Be more visible on social media:

Try to promote yourself of what you do on different media platforms. Try to be very active on at least one of them. Be intentional about your time online. If you are a vendor or want to explore any line of business or freelance, do post about it and gradually build your brand. Different businesses, brands, authors and celebrities have been using this to gain more followers and influence. Try this for yourself.

6. Heal:

This isn’t applicable to everybody but to many. If there’s is something that has been bothering you, embrace it. You can confide in a counsellor or a priest. Speak to someone who wouldn’t judge you. You need to free yourself. There isn’t anything that has never been heard before. Do this for your overall well-being and peace of mind. Be at peace with yourself.

7. Pray in and out of season:

I cannot write all these without mentioning prayer. Have a good praying habit. This is important especially,  you are the religious type. Master the act of committing all that concerns you in God’s hands. Pray for your family and friends, for your work and life goals. Prayers come with some kind of hope and peace; even when you face challenges.

For the religious types, write down all your goals. You can paste the list on your wall where you can easily see it. This can be replicated same on a vision board too.

In summary, a productive year begins with a plan, right mindset on hope to achieve them.

I hope you find this post valuable.

Happy for a Friend

Let me gist you, it’s about a friend that I have known for some time now. She is lovely, kind, caring and an atheist.

At first, it baffled me how she simply do not believe in God and possesses lots of qualities I admire.

I have tried to talk her through religion and other things I think she ought to know about God. Having said that, I was very courteous because I did want to loose a friend in the course of doing that.

Within me, as a Christian I owe it to myself to evangelise but I do not want to overdo it either.

She was honest with me and told me how her parents are not any religious either. I let her be at that time.

Then came New Year’s Day 2019. We were chatting and she told me she went to the church the previous night.

“Like seriously?” I asked. She mentioned having been there with a friend awhile ago and for some strange reason different people mentioned that same church three times within a week and she thought it was meant for her to go there this time.

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I was more than pleased. It made my day.

I simply told her that the year have started on a good note. I am very happy for her.

I pray she continually feels motivated to go to Church in order to know and seek God more.

On a different note, hope you are getting the hang of January 2019.

Do you have any resolutions yet?

May your year be fulfilled.

Lots of love

Viviensvoice.

Be Prepared For The New Year

Hello Friends, I want to share with you some quotes that will help us keep our hopes high as we enter the year. Thanks to God for sparing our lives.

There are biblical verses that lifts my spirit high regardless of any situation I find myself. I have chosen very few:

Psalm 121 – “I lift up my eyes to the mountains; where is my help to come from?

This verse reminds me of the supernatural being, the Almighty that foresees our future; including any struggle we might meet along the way.

“My help come from Yahweh who made heaven and earth. May he save your foot from stumbling; may he your guardian; not fall asleep!”

I cannot explain to you how overwhelming this line makes me feel. Those words are powerful. When you solely rely on God, what more can you ask for? It makes me aware of the fact that we are bound to stumble as we walk in the paths of life but He our God will protect us from all harm. God watches over us even we are exhausted from the days activities and fall into deep sleep. He is always with us, not leaving our side.

My bible went further to say: “You see– He neither sleeps nor slumbers, the guardian of Israel.  “… By day the sun will not strike you, nor the moon by night. Yahweh guards you from all harm, He guards your life.”

We are reassured again that He does not sleep while watching over us and will shield us from all kinds of danger. There is nothing God cannot handle.

I use the New Jerusalem Bible – that’s the reason for the word ‘Yahweh’ if you have wondered where it came from. [I intentionally discussed the chapter without the verses numbers; most times I love discussing my bible that way so long as I have mentioned the chapter].

2 Corinthians 12:9 – “…But he said to me, my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

It is obvious that God strengthens us in hard times. I can relate this to my personal experiences, I would wonder how am ever going to cope but He simply does it, His own very way. He fights our battles. He is right there with us, even at our weakest times.

Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

The Unchangeable God continues to reassure us of His steadfastness. I love those lines ever since I got to know of them. When I think about the future or uncertainties, I remain hopeful because I know God’s words do not change.

In addition, I love some non biblical quotes too:

“Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present.”

I can’t agree more. We have to be happy with our current situation to enable us flourish in the future. Find a way and be pleased with your present as it goes a long way to create a better future. Happiness is something that comes from the inside, so you have to create it.

The picture above says it all. They say health is wealth, so look after yourself. The information you need is out there. Avoid the things you can and cut down where necessary. You need not to be told about the consequences of ignoring warning signs. Whatever you do, look after yourself. You come first.

There are lots of quotes to help us keep track as it is important that we stay focus. I hope this post prepares you for the new year. Be hopeful for what the year will bring as you have prepared yourself – by reading this write-up😄

I had fun creating this post I hope you enjoyed reading it? Can you share with me your favorite inspirational quotes?
