Finding Inner Strength: Embracing Life When Times Get Tough

There are ways around all of these. You are not alone.

How are things going for you lately?

At times, life can be challenging, and situations may leave us feeling overwhelmed and defeated. However, it is during these moments that we have the opportunity to tap into our inner strength and find the resilience needed to move forward.

Let’s look at different strategies that can help an individual find the strength to live and thrive when faced with tough circumstances.

1. Acknowledge Your Emotions

When faced with difficult situations, it’s essential to acknowledge and accept the emotions you are experiencing. It’s okay to feel sad, angry, or frustrated. Allow yourself to process these emotions, as denying or suppressing them can hinder your ability to move forward. Embracing your emotions allows you to release them and create space for healing and growth.

2. Cultivate a Supportive Network

Seeking support from others is a powerful way to find strength during challenging times. Surround yourself with a network of friends, family, or support groups who understand and empathize with your struggles. Sharing your thoughts and emotions with trusted individuals can provide comfort, guidance, and fresh perspectives. Remember, you don’t have to face difficulties alone.

3. Practice Self-Compassion

Be gentle and kind to yourself as you navigate through tough situations. Practice self-compassion by acknowledging that you are doing the best you can under the circumstances. Treat yourself with the same kindness and understanding you would offer a loved one. Allow yourself moments of self-care, whether it’s taking a walk in nature, enjoying a hobby, or simply giving yourself permission to rest. By nurturing yourself, you replenish your inner strength and resilience.

4. Focus on the Present Moment

When facing challenging circumstances, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by past regrets or future uncertainties. Instead, shift your focus to the present moment. Engaging in mindfulness practices, such as meditation or deep breathing exercises, can help anchor you in the here and now. By being present, you allow yourself to observe your situation objectively and make decisions based on what is within your control.

5. Find Meaning and Purpose

Difficult times often provide an opportunity for self-reflection and personal growth. Consider the lessons you can learn from your current situation. Reflect on your values, passions, and goals. Rediscover your purpose and align your actions with what truly matters to you. By finding meaning in your circumstances, you empower yourself to overcome adversity and emerge stronger.

6. Set Realistic Goals and Take Small Steps

When faced with tough situations, it can be overwhelming to think about the future. Break down your long-term goals into smaller, more manageable steps. By focusing on achievable tasks, you build momentum and gain a sense of accomplishment along the way. Celebrate each small victory, knowing that every step forward brings you closer to a brighter future.

7. Seek Professional Help if Need be

Sometimes, the challenges we face require more support than our personal network can provide. Professionals give information from knowledge gained through trainings and extensive researches. Your friends or relatives might not know all of that. If you find yourself struggling to cope, don’t hesitate to seek professional help. Mental health professionals, therapists, or counsellors can offer guidance, tools, and strategies tailored to your specific needs. Asking for help is a sign of strength, and it can be a crucial step towards regaining control of your life.

Conclusion

Finding the strength to move on and live when situations appear tough is a journey that requires self-compassion, support from others, and a focus on personal growth. Remember that tough times do not define you. By acknowledging your emotions, cultivating a supportive network, practicing self-compassion, staying present, finding meaning, setting realistic goals, and seeking professional help if needed, you can tap into your inner strength and embrace life’s challenges with resilience and determination. You have the power within you to not only survive but thrive in the face of adversity.

Do Not Overthink Your Situation Than It Already Is

Do not give up yet. God is still God.

I want to dedicate this post to those that are currently experiencing hard times.

To those that situations make them wonder if God truly exist.

To those who have concluded that God is partial.

To those that only experience agony.

To those that have gone from one trying moment to another and is not ending soon.

To those that found themselves in a hopeless situation.

To that flood their pillows at night.

To that that truly want God to prove that He still exist in their lives.

Guess what?

I want you all to know that even when it appears all bleak that God truly does exists.

I can agree with you that the doubt is there.

However, GOD IS STILL GOD and exists.

There is no situation bigger than God.

God is for all.

He is not partial.

Your situation will turn around.

Hang in there.

Seek His face the more.

Chances are He is preparing you for the unforseen future.

Do not over think your situation more than it already is.

I pray God come through for you sooner than imagined.

May this month of June bless you with more than you had imagined 🧡

Know Your True Worth; The Inner You

knowing your self worth is vital as it means you are true to your values no matter what.

Do you know your self worth? Have you tried figuring out what you are worth?

How do you treat yourself?

It is important that we know what we value and how we wish to be treated.

Self worth is how you think and feel about yourself. It has nothing to do with what others think of you or what they say to you.

Self worth is something we all should be aware of as it reflects in our behaviour and or in interaction with others.

However, some individuals can easily lose their self worth and begin to feel less confident for no reason.

It is possible they have had some challenges or experiences that perhaps pushed them to the edge. It could  be that certain persons have questioned their acts and made then feel invalid.

Worse scenarios are when people change and begin to doubt themselves and their capabilities simply because of how others have treated them or how they felt perceived.

They suddenly begin to question even the things they are normally good at. Depending on how good they are at spotting the obvious,  they can lose themselves and self confidence; all to nothing.

They will find themselves not capable of doing anything or making basic decision.

Now imagine if this same person knows their self worth, would other people’s acts have that same effect on them?

Just think about it.

For example, when people treat you wrongly, speak up. Speak up for yourself.

Let that person know what they have done is not acceptable.

Even if you are the quiet type, do not keep quiet. Talk; so that people do not see you as a doormat that can easily be walked on.

Know yourself and believe in yourself.

This can be worked on.

Oh! Before I forget, there is always room to grow.

Key Things To Do To Ascertain A Productive Year

Nothing that good happens by chance all the time. Have plans and make the most of your year. Try the things mentioned and be proud of yourself.

We are already in the second month of the year. Isn’t it amazing how a month some days are already gone?

Some of us are yet to figure out what to do or to expect this year. So, how has the year been so far for you?

Most times, some people will be quick to say “I do I don’t do new year resolutions.” That’s ok if you feel like saying so.

However, does that mean you do not have any expectation(s) for the year? Are there no targets you want to hit in an entire year?

I believe one can achieve a lot only when they have painstakingly thought about them and then work towards them. Not everything is to be left to chance.

There are things I will recommend you do for a  productive year. This isn’t in any way an exhaustive list and is in no particular order.

1. Read books:

There is no limit to the amount of knowledge you can gain. Gaining more knowledge is an empowering tool. You want to be versed in the field you are in. Be intentional about the books you read too. Ensure you have inspirational books and success books handy.

Read biographies of successful people you admire or those you consider as your role models. Feed your brain with the kind of knowledge it deserves.

2. Learn a skill:

This can be a digital skill preferably. There are a lot to learn. You need to take up something new. Challenge yourself.
If you have been doing something on a low key, up your game now. Take up both free and paid courses. Look up courses that aligns with that the things you are currently doing and those you want to explore.

3. Have multiple sources of income:

Do not be dependent on one job only for your earnings. Little income from here and there can help offset some bills. Explore many ideas and opportunities that present themselves. If you are online most times, do try affiliate marketing. You get to learn in the process too and possibly build your own brand afterwards if you wish. Explore remote job sites like Fiverr, Upwork and Appen.

4. Cryptocurrency:

Do some reading and begin buying some coins. The world is evolving and so should you to. Take up courses especially if you are interested in trading. You can start with exploring exchanges such as Binance, kucoin, and coinbase. Otherwise, you can buy some coins with prospects and hold onto them (hodl). If you have the money go for all time highs like Bitcoin, Ethereum etc. They can be bought in fractions too. Do not trade with urgent money like rent or school fees. Trading can be risky. Please, do your own research.

5. Be more visible on social media:

Try to promote yourself of what you do on different media platforms. Try to be very active on at least one of them. Be intentional about your time online. If you are a vendor or want to explore any line of business or freelance, do post about it and gradually build your brand. Different businesses, brands, authors and celebrities have been using this to gain more followers and influence. Try this for yourself.

6. Heal:

This isn’t applicable to everybody but to many. If there’s is something that has been bothering you, embrace it. You can confide in a counsellor or a priest. Speak to someone who wouldn’t judge you. You need to free yourself. There isn’t anything that has never been heard before. Do this for your overall well-being and peace of mind. Be at peace with yourself.

7. Pray in and out of season:

I cannot write all these without mentioning prayer. Have a good praying habit. This is important especially,  you are the religious type. Master the act of committing all that concerns you in God’s hands. Pray for your family and friends, for your work and life goals. Prayers come with some kind of hope and peace; even when you face challenges.

For the religious types, write down all your goals. You can paste the list on your wall where you can easily see it. This can be replicated same on a vision board too.

In summary, a productive year begins with a plan, right mindset on hope to achieve them.

I hope you find this post valuable.

Be True to Yourself

It is possible that certain things happens in you life for a reason.

At times, we tend to look back and wonder why we did certain things.

Do you seem to have a lot of things you wished you had done differently?

Do they bother you so much?

I want you to look at them differently this time.

I guess you were not somewhat senseless or crazy those times.

Has it occurred to you that it was possibly the best you could have done at those given times?

Did you have numerous options and intentionally chose the least of all?

If yes, why was that?

Did you do what was practically obtainable at that time?

I guess sometimes we need to be true to ourselves.

Pay attention to details regarding your past and present actions.

Do not wake up one day and wanna regret your entire life based on your current situation.

The pasts cannot be changed.

Work on where you think you can do better in your current state.

Do not allow anybody’s opinion become your reality.

Appreciate your journey.

They are your story.

They are the reason you have come this far.

They make you unique.

Be grateful for the past, the present and what the future holds.

It could have been worse.

Thank God for the gift of life.

Focus on You

Treat yourself right. You can bring out the best in you.

The happiness you seek from others can be found inside you.

Focus on yourself.

Pay attention to yourself.

Set realistic goals.

If it’s a long term project, plan and give it time.

Know what can be achieved in a short time.

Do not allow other people’s progress or stories distract you.

If they must affect you, let them motivate you.

You are unique.

Each person is to serve a purpose.

Are you doing your best?

What advice would you give to yourself?

At times, it is beneficial for one to spare time just to think about themselves.

It can be regarding lifestyle, relationship, work, passions or anything you deem important to you.

Desist from getting carried away by analysing peoples lifestyles, choices and their process.

Why they are this and should do XYZ.

Simply focus on your growth or development.

There ought to be something in you that you can take to another level or do differently.

Do not see others and say “God when” but you are not paying attention to yourself.

What plans do you have? What have you done so far?

You are your number one fan.

Love yourself.

Treat yourself right.

Endeavour to maximise all your God given talents.

Do not waste them.

Know what you can do at any given time and act on it.

Spare time and think about yourself.

You will spot the difference when you make it a habit.

It is YOU to the world 🧡

When I first got to this garden I was a bit scared as I couldn’t tell if something was hiding under the plants and flowers. However, within minutes I completely forgot about it as I was lost in thought.

Aim for the best version of yourself 🧡

Raising Better Kids

Get some parenting tips from experts

Earlier this year I purchased 5 books, one of them was “The Gentle Discipline Book.”

The Gentle Discipline Book: How to raise co-operative, polite and helpful children
Book by Sarah Ockwell-Smith.

I like the fact that almost anything imaginable has been written.

In the course of trying to know how to communicate and raise kids better, I resolved to getting a copy of this book.

This book has made me aware of certain things I did not know when it has to do with dealing with kids.

For instance, it explored their psychology, their behaviours, their hierarchy of needs, what parent expect from kids that are not realistic and many other aspects.

You will be surprised to know that most things that worries you about your kids are quite common with kids generally.

Raising kids can be challenging but it good to know that we are alone.

I like to read or research stuffs, so I knew there is no way I will not read from experts regarding raising better kids and all that it entails.

Before I went for this book one of my major concern was communication with kids.

If there is a way of doing it by mere talking and both parties happy and satisfied at the end why not?

Why spank and stress if there are better options?

I am the type that can be strict sometimes but I want to get it right with kids.

I want to strick a balance and raise a reasonable, well behaved and not spoilt child.

Can I achieve it without engaging in a physical combat with a child?

This book has helped me a lot.

It is just one of those books you read and go back to for references.

Oh! I forgot to add I’m aware of “do not spare the rod and spoil the child.”

To be honest, most people use those lines to suit them.

So over to you now.

What book have you read lately?

Endeavour to read good books, not just gossips blogs or tweets. I mean try reading something long and engaging.

Reading is good for your brain and personal development ☺️

Humility Pays

Even when privileged
When you are superior
When you think you need no one but you
When you think the earth revolves around you
Stay humble

No matter what life throws at you
No matter what you are going through
No matter how rough the situation appears
No matter how lost you think you are
Stay humble

There is nothing in this life that should make you look down on others.

It is important that you do not take people’s their kind gestures forgranted.

Someone you look down today might be your saviour tomorrow.
